Internal Auditing

This two day course provides the participants the necessary resources and tools to conduct and/or participate in internal quality audits. Some of the resources may include, developing and submitting a quality audit schedule, collating evidence and evaluating information in preparation for reporting the audit observations to key stakeholders.This course is ideal for individuals wishing to progress their career with further auditing certification and/or are currently undertaking workplace inspections, co-coordinating and maintaining an organisation's compliance with legislation, accepted industry practices and codes, and certifying standards.

Internal audits are a key part of any certified management Quality or OHS/WHS system. By completing this Internal Auditor course you will gain the knowledge and skills to conduct internal audits as a member of an internal audit team or as an individual auditor:

  • Review auditee documentation
  • Participate in developing audit schedules
  • Assess quality audit scope and objectives
  • Communicate with auditee regarding proposed quality audit
  • Identify resources required to conduct quality audit
  • Develop and submit quality audit plan
  • Identify and prepare checklists and audit
  • Prepare audit team
  • Review auditee documentation

Pre-requisite:

Desirable to have written and verbal English language skills, basic word processing skills and experience in a team leader, managerial or supervisory role in an Australian workplace

The two day internal auditor course has been established to provide participants with the necessary resources and tools to undertake a workplace audit and identify areas where continuous improvements could be implemented, such as, quality, safety and environmental systems.
